The Fox Valley Metro Police
Department is partnering with Papa Johns for an initiative aimed at rewarding
those in the community who are going above and beyond to #Dotherightthing. Fox
Valley Metro Officers and Police School Liaison Officers will be on the lookout
for those going above and beyond and rewarding them with a coupon for a free
large pizza from Papa Johns.
Pictures as well as short
summaries of those rewarded will be posted on Fox Valley Metro’s Facebook and
Twitter Accounts with the hashtag #Dotherightthing. Follow Fox Valley Metro
Police Department on Facebook, and on Twitter at @FoxValleyMetro.
If you would like to nominate
someone you feel should be recognized please contact the Fox Valley Metro
Police Department Community Support Officer Michael Lambie at (920) 788-7505.

Windmill Edition
FVMPD
recognized a Little Chute couple, Virginia and Eugene (Virgie and Gene) Janssen
for their volunteer work and dedication to the Village of Little Chute. You can
find the Janssen’s almost daily directing the windmill in downtown Little
Chute. Virginia and Eugene volunteer countless hours giving tours, repairing,
and decorating the windmill and museum. Not only are the Janssen’s resident
experts on Little Chute history, (seriously ask them any question) they also
devote their time to many other great organizations in our community. Together
they donate their time to Caring Hearts Carrying Meals (Meals on Wheels),
Little Chute Elementary School, St. John’s Church, Little Chute Garden Club,
Little Chute Athletic Association, and many others. The Janssen's were rewarded
with free pizza coupons from Papa Johns Pizza.
Virginia and
Eugene are looking for additional volunteers to help out in downtown Little
Chute and the windmill. If you are interested in volunteering please contact
them at (920) 788-2566.
