State Money Available For Housing Rehabilitation

The Northeastern Wisconsin Housing Rehabilitation Community Development Block Grant has loan money available for residents in Brown, Calumet and Outagamie counties.

If your home needs repairs or improvements, you may qualify for home rehabilitation assistance through this program.

Loans are available starting at $1,000 to $24,999 with no interest.  Loan repayment is not required until the home is sold, is no longer the primary residence of the applicant, refinanced, or 30 years, whichever comes first.

The loan is secured by a mortgage on the property.

For landlords, installment loans are available for rental unit repairs provided the unit is or will be rented to tenants who are low or moderate income.

Gross household income must be at or below 80% of the median county income.  Income limits may be found at http://doa.wi.gov/Divisions/Housing/CDBG-Housing

For additional information on the program, contact Todd D. Mead at mead_td@co.brown.wi.us or (920) 448-6480.
